Atlas Loves: Fine Art Inspiration

At Atlas we know that looking at the work of your fellow fashion photographers can inspire you to create your own, but sometimes it’s good to source your inspiration from somewhere else and who better than the masters of fine art. Art and fashion have had a long relationship, with major glossies inviting artists from Salvador Dalí to Barbara Kruger to direct or shoot their editorial content. Fine art is a great place to get inspiration as the paintings were artificially constructed, composed, lit and produced much like the photographs we take today. Here we’ve sourced some great recreations, from fashion photographers, of classic paintings to give you just a few ideas for your next shoot.
